A reinstatement request is your chance to show Google that your business is real and follows the rules. A rushed appeal often gets rejected. A prepared one usually succeeds.
Step 1: Find and fix the cause
Before you appeal, look honestly at your profile:
- Does the business name match your signboard and documents exactly?
- Is the address a real location customers visit (or hidden, if you're service-area)?
- Is the category accurate?
- Are there duplicate listings?
Fix what's wrong before submitting.
Step 2: Gather evidence
Have clear photos or PDFs ready:
- Business registration, shop & establishment licence, GST certificate or trade licence
- Utility bill or rental agreement with the business name and address
- Photos of your permanent signage, the storefront and the inside of your premises
- Your website showing the same name, address and phone
Step 3: Submit the appeal
Use Google's official reinstatement form from your Business Profile dashboard. Upload your evidence and explain briefly and factually what your business does and what you corrected.
Step 4: Wait β and don't touch the profile
Avoid editing the profile while the appeal is under review. Check your email for Google's decision.
Common mistakes
- Appealing without fixing the cause
- Uploading blurry or cropped documents
- Documents with a different name or address than the profile
- Creating a new profile while waiting

Can I call Google support?
Google support can help in some cases, but the formal appeal through the reinstatement form is what decides most suspensions.
