Google video verification rejected? How to get it right

Google increasingly asks businesses to verify with a short video. It sounds simple, but many videos get rejected — usually because they miss one of the three things Google needs to see.

What Google wants to see

1. Your location — street signs, nearby shops or landmarks that show where you are.
2. Your business — permanent signage with your business name, and the premises or equipment.
3. Proof you manage it — unlocking the door, opening the cash counter, using a POS or showing business documents.

A shot-list that works

For a shop or office:

• Start outside: show the street name or a landmark, then pan to your signboard.
• Walk in: show the counter, products or workspace.
• Prove management: unlock a drawer, open the billing system or show your registration certificate.

For a service-area business:

• Show your branded vehicle or tools.
• Show business documents or an invoice with your business name.
• Show the area you operate from (street, landmarks).

Tips

• Record one continuous video — no cuts or edits.
• Good daylight, steady hands, no music or filters.
• Keep it under 2 minutes.
• Make sure the name on your signboard matches the profile exactly.

If it's rejected again

Check that your profile details (name, address, category) are accurate. Mismatches often cause repeated rejections. Then re-record with the shot-list above.
