Categories, menus, photos, reviews and reservations β€” everything a restaurant needs to fill tables from Google.

Hungry customers decide fast. They search, glance at the top 3 on the map, check photos and ratings β€” and go. Here's how to make sure they choose you.

1. Category: be specific

"Restaurant" is crowded. Choose your cuisine: "South Indian restaurant", "Biryani restaurant", "Chinese restaurant", "Vegetarian restaurant". Add secondary categories for what else you offer (cafe, bar, bakery).

2. Menu and dishes

Add your menu (photos or menu items) and your popular dishes with photos. Customers love to see what they'll get.

3. Photos β€” lots of them

Food, interiors, outdoor seating, the entrance at night. Add new ones every week. Customer photos help too.

4. Attributes and options

Turn on dine-in, takeaway, delivery, reservations, outdoor seating, family-friendly, vegetarian options, wheelchair access β€” whatever is true.

5. Reviews: the big one

In Bangalore, top restaurants have thousands of reviews. Build a habit: a QR code on tables, a word from staff at billing, a WhatsApp message after delivery orders.

6. Hours

Lunch and dinner timings, kitchen hours and festival hours. Wrong hours cause angry reviews.

7. Posts

Weekly specials, festival menus, new dishes, live music nights.

Frequently asked questions

Should I add my menu on Google even if it's on Zomato?

Yes. Many customers never open Zomato for dine-in decisions β€” they decide on Google.
