Shops in Delhi markets: how to stand out on Google Maps

Sarojini, Lajpat Nagar, Karol Bagh, Chandni Chowk β€” when every lane has 50 shops, here's how to be the one customers find.

In Delhi's famous markets, a customer standing in the lane often opens Google Maps to find "the shop with good reviews". Here's how to be that shop.

1. Get the pin exactly right

Markets are dense. A pin one lane off sends customers to a competitor. Place it on your entrance and add your shop number and lane in the address.

2. Photos that help people find you

  • Your signboard from the lane
  • The shop entrance and inside
  • Your best products

3. Hours, including market holidays

Many Delhi markets close on a fixed weekday. Set it correctly, and add special hours for Diwali, Holi and wedding season.

4. Reviews from walk-in customers

A QR code at the counter and a quick "please review us on Google" works best. In crowded markets, the shops with the most recent reviews stand out.

5. Products on your profile

Add your best-sellers with photos and prices. Customers often decide before they reach your lane.
